How do you say I miss you in Hindi?
"तुम्हारी याद आती है" (tumhari yaad aati hai) is the everyday way, and "तुम्हारी बहुत याद आ रही है" if you're missing someone right now. Literally, it's "your memory comes": the person you miss is the subject of the sentence, not you. That's why it's the most useful form in Hindi. Nothing in it shows whether a man or a woman is speaking, so anyone can send any line built on it, to anyone.
Change the pronoun to match how you speak to them. "आपकी याद आती है" for a parent, a grandparent or anyone you call आप. "तुम्हारी याद आती है" for a partner or a sibling. "तेरी याद आती है" for a close friend or anyone you call तू. The same sentence moves from formal to intimate just by that one word.
Yaad aana or miss karna?
Both are normal, and they're not quite the same. "Miss karna" is borrowed straight from English and feels casual and modern: "tumhe miss kar raha hoon" is how a lot of couples text. But it needs a verb that shows the speaker: "kar raha hoon" from a man, "kar rahi hoon" from a woman. "Yaad aana" is warmer, older and gender-neutral. It's also the one you'd use to a parent. "Maa, aapko miss kar raha hoon" is fine, but "Maa, aapki bahut yaad aati hai" is what most people actually say.
The lines on this page that use a gendered verb carry a "From him" or "From her" tag. To send one yourself, just swap the ending: रहा/रही, करता/करती, था/थी.
Missing home
"Ghar ki yaad" (missing home) is its own feeling, and anyone who has moved to a new city for college or work knows it. It usually arrives at dinner time. That's why so many of these lines are about food: a mother's cooking, the hostel mess, the rotis nobody makes the same way. Sending one of these to your parents does two things at once. It tells them you miss them, and it tells them the home they made still matters. Parents who don't say it back in words will often say it with a parcel of laddoos.
Missing friends
Friendships stretch when people move, marry or change jobs, and a "teri yaad aayi" out of nowhere is one of the best messages to get. Keep it light: a shared memory (the college canteen, the Maggi at two in the morning) does more than a long message about how much you miss them. Use तू or तुम as you always have. A friend of fifteen years getting a message in formal Hindi will wonder what's wrong.
Missing a partner
The romance-heavy lines are on the love-in-Hindi page, which also explains प्यार, प्रेम, मोहब्बत and इश्क़. The ones here are quieter: the evening that feels long, the tea that reminds you of them, the phone you pick up and put down. Most use याद so they work from either side; the ones tagged "For her" and "For him" differ only in याद आ रही हो and याद आ रहे हो, which is about who you're writing to, not who you are.
Devanagari or Hinglish?
Whatever the person reads comfortably. Many parents and grandparents prefer Devanagari, and a message in it can feel more personal. Most people under forty text in Hinglish, and a Devanagari message from a friend can read like a greeting card. Both are here: the Hindi lines in Devanagari, the Hinglish lines in the Roman spelling most people actually type.

How do you say I miss you in Hindi?
"तुम्हारी याद आती है" (tumhari yaad aati hai), or "तुम्हारी बहुत याद आ रही है" (I'm missing you a lot right now). To a parent or elder: "आपकी बहुत याद आती है".
What is the difference between yaad aana and miss karna?
"Yaad aana" is traditional and doesn't show the speaker's gender. "Miss karna" is borrowed from English and needs a gendered verb: "miss kar raha hoon" from a man, "kar rahi hoon" from a woman.
