Hindi

What should I write in my mom's birthday card?

A thank-you for something specific, and one line about who she is to you now. Mothers get a lot of "you're the best mom in the world". They get far less of "thank you for driving me to every exam and never once mentioning the traffic". The specific memory is what she keeps.

Start from a line here that sounds like you, then add the detail. A dish she makes, a phrase she always says, the time she was right and you didn't want to admit it. One sentence of that turns a nice message into hers.

How do I make my mom feel special on her birthday?

Be early, be specific and then call. Send the message first thing in the morning, or at midnight if that's how your family does birthdays, so she sees it before the day gets busy. Then phone her. Most mothers value the call more than any text, and the message gives you something to talk about when she picks up.

If you're at home, the gift she often wants most is the day off. Cook, clean up, handle the relatives' calls. "Aaj aap bas aaram karo" said out loud and meant is better than anything wrapped.

What do I send if I can't be with her?

Something that says you miss the ordinary things: her cooking, the arguments over the TV, the table. The Far away filter has lines written for that. Then send a voice note or a video call at a time when she can talk properly, not while she's in the middle of making lunch for everyone else. If you can, have something delivered that arrives the same day: flowers, a cake, her favourite sweets. It's the next best thing to walking in.

Is a message from a daughter different from one from a son?

A little. Daughters often write about becoming like their mother, borrowing her clothes and then her advice. Sons often say the thing they don't say out loud: that they notice everything she does. Both land. The filters split them so you can find your side quickly, but plenty of the heartfelt ones work from anyone.

Should I wish my mom in Hindi or English?

Use whatever you speak to her in. If you call her Maa or Mummy and chat in Hinglish, the Hinglish lines will sound the most like you. If she writes in Devanagari, or you want something she can forward to the family group, the Hindi wishes are written for that: warm, a little more formal, with the blessings that suit an elder. "जन्मदिन मुबारक हो, माँ" never goes wrong.

Questions

Before you send it

What is a good short birthday message for mom?

"Happy birthday, Mom. You're the best of us" and "My first friend, my forever home" are two good places to start. The Short filter above shows every one-liner.

What do I write in a birthday card for my mom from her daughter?

Something about how you've become like her, or what you've learned from her. "You're the woman I measure every good decision against" is a good start. Add one memory only the two of you share.

What do I write for my mom's birthday from her son?

Say the thing you notice but rarely say: what she does for everyone without being asked. "I don't say it enough, but I notice everything you do" covers it, and a specific example makes it better.

How do I say happy birthday to my mom in Hindi?

"जन्मदिन मुबारक हो, माँ" is the everyday form. For something more formal and warm: "दुनिया की सबसे प्यारी माँ को जन्मदिन की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ". In Hinglish, "Happy birthday, Maa" is how most people actually say it.

Can I send a funny birthday message to my mom?

Yes, if your family jokes that way. The funny ones here tease gently: the full name when you're in trouble, the remote she's holding. Pair a joke with one sincere line so it doesn't feel like you're dodging.

What do I send my mom if I live far away?

A message about missing the everyday things, then a call at a time she can talk. The Far away filter has lines for this. Sending something that arrives the same day helps too.

Should I post my mom's birthday wish on Instagram or send it privately?

Both, if she's on Instagram. Post a photo with a short caption, then send the long, personal message privately. The card maker turns any wish here into an image for the post.
